Being the founders, owners, and at the same time volunteers, Nandia and Marios have been running their shelter for over 8 years now. During this time, they have helped hundreds of dogs. Unlike many others, the Hope for Homeless shelter is totally dependent financially on gifts and contributions. There is no financial support from municipal, provincial, or national funds. Everyone associated with the family of Hope for Homeless contributes time and effort voluntarily, out of immense love for dogs, in their free from work or studies time. That makes the mission difficult but also very valuable.
Their Motto is: “EVERY DOG DESERVES A HOME, AND IF WE CAN DREAM IT, WE CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN”
Home for Homeless aspires to build a new shelter on a newly acquired piece of land. The total cost of the project is estimated at €120,000. Hope for Homeless is counting on people’s support to save all the dogs from the fate of ending up on the streets for the second time, as soon as this winter!
Hundreds of dogs have received a chance for a new life, being adopted into new families in Cyprus, as well as in England, Scotland, Belgium and the Netherlands.
